Sterile Grass Carp

Sterile Grass Carp also known as Triploid Grass Carp characteristics:  

• Offer a biological solution for aquatic plant control
• Are unable to reproduce
• Average life expectancy of 15 years
• Only feed on plants
• Prefer bushy and American pondweeds, hydrilla like plants filamentous algae (pond scum or moss)
• Go dormant during the winter and resume intensive feeding when water temperatures reach 68 degrees Fahrenheit
